The Lima Bean Monster

In order to avoid eating lima beans, a boy sneaks them off his dinner plate and starts burying them in a hole in his backyard. When the other neighborhood children find out about the boy`s plan, they too start burying things in the hole--everything from parsnips to ugly sweaters to failed spelling tests. Then one night lightning strikes the hole--and all those unwanted things blend together and come to life. How will the children defeat this horrible monster they`ve accidentally created?
